Currently I'm helping to improve the safety and maintenance standards for a Super Major Oil Producer on the western coast of the United States. Along the way, I've been able to grab some pretty great pictures! https://plus.google.com/+JohnHoover_International_Project_Manager/posts/cMMJfVCCBdZ

It would be nice to be able to edit posts (such as if a correction is needed after posting) or have access to various formatting options when posting.

9. ELON MUSK TO HELP FUND TESLA MUSEUM! (2 votes)
By: johnhoover
Elon Musk, creator of such awesome businesses as PayPal, SpaceX, and Tesla Motors, just announced that he will be helping to build the first ever Tesla Museum! And that is Tesla as in Nikola Tesla, the brilliant inventor responsible for much of our modern society including the wide spread usage of AC power!

The announcement was made via Elon Musk's personnel twitter account after a request for help was made by, among others, the creator of the The Oatmeal, Matthew Inman.

Matthew was a key part of an effort made in 2012 to save Nikola Tesla's laboratory through crowd sourcing. Using funds raised primarily through public donations, they were able to purchase the property in Long Island, NY that the laboratory was located on: http://theoatmeal.com/blog/tesla_museum

While enough money was raised to purchase the land, another $8 million is needed to build the museum itself. Having already crowd sourced the land, Matthew made a direct plea to Elon Musk for him to fund the building of the museum: http://theoatmeal.com/comics/tesla_model_s2

This morning, Elon Musk sent Matthew a message via twitter announcing that he would be, "happy to help"! https://twitter.com/Oatmeal/status/466595838978818048

As if Elon Musk wasn't already someone to be admired, he goes and sets the bar even higher!

Thank you, Elon Musk!
