General
How do I get back to the Home page?
Click on the odesie logo in the upper left-hand corner or, when in the Course section, click the Home icon in the navigation bar.
How do I submit questions regarding odesie?
There are three ways to contact odesieĀ© Customer Support: submit a support request, email, or phone. To submit a support request, click the Help icon in the upper right-hand corner, select Contact Support and fill out the questionnaire. To email, click on the envelop icon in the lower right-hand corner and fill out the questionnaire boxes. To submit questions by phone, click the telephone icon in the lower right-hand corner. The customer support line is listed at the bottom.
How do I register for odesie?
Registration to odesie is only necessary if you would like to post comments in the forums and video archive, suggest additions in the industrial wiki, buy courses from the Store, or play any of the games in the Learning Activities section. By doing any of the above, you will be prompted with a registration/sign in page. Non registered users will need to complete the registration form on the right. Once complete, you will receive an email with your credentials. You can also register by going to Menu, in the top right-hand corner and selecting Login.
What if my login doesn't work?
Please contact Customer Support by submitting a support request, email, or phone. See "How do I submit questions regarding odesie?" in the FAQ.
How do I change my password?
You can change your password by going to Menu, in the upper right-hand corner, and selecting Account.
Courses
I have taken all the modules in a course, but the status is still shown as in progress.
In order to complete a course, all modules in the course need to be passed with an 80% or higher. You can see the status of all the modules in a course by clicking on the status bar located under the My Course Completion section.
I don't see the course I'm looking for listed, is there any way I can search for it?
You can search all available courses by going to the Store from the odesie homepage.
What is a passing score for a module?
The passing score for all modules is an 80%.
Why does it say certain courses aren't available to me?
If a course is marked as not available, you have not purchased that course. You can do so by going to the Store from the odesie homepage.
What is the checkbox located to the right of a section in a course?
The completion tick box to the right of each activity will show your progress of that activity. A blue check mark means the activity is complete and a grade was not needed. A green check mark means the activity is complete with a passing grade.
How do I review the completion status of courses I am taking?
View the Course Completion Report found from the Courses homepage. Click to expand My profile settings under Administration. Click Activity reports, then Course completion. You can also see up to 10 courses that you are enrolled in under My Course Completion.
How do I review the grades I have received on a course?
There are several ways to review your grades. For an overview of a course, click the status bar for the course listed under My Course Completion. To see the grade for each module within a course, enter a course then click on Grades located under Administration in the left column.
Forum
How do I post a comment in the Forum?
To add a new post, click the topic you would like to add a post to, then click "Add New Post". You must be logged in to add a new post.
How do I reply to a post?
You will see "post a reply" under each topic post. Click "post a reply" to make a reply. You must be logged in to post replies.
Industrial Wiki
What information is posted on the Wiki?
The wiki contains additional information on topics that are covered in the modules.
Can I post on the Wiki?
You are unable to post or edit content on the wiki. However, you can comment by clicking on the the Wiki Talk link at the top of the page.
Can I create a new page on the Wiki?
You are unable to create a new page. However, if you have a suggestion or idea for a new page, please go to the Forums and post your thoughts.
Event Center
I see a conference listed in the blue section, do I have to attend?
No. Open conferences will be available to all users, but you do not have to attend.
How do I schedule a conference?
To schedule a conference, click the date you would like it to be on the calendar and select Add a Conference. Fill out the information listed.
How do I get more information about a conference?
To see the details for a conference, click on the date of the conference and then on the conference name. This will show all the details for the conference.
How do I see my upcoming conferences?
The most upcoming conference will be listed in the blue section on the Event Center homepage.
How do I make a conference private?
Private conferences are made by selecting users from the drop down on the conference details page. Only the users you select will be able to view and enter the conference.
How do I see scheduled conferences?
Conferences that are open to the public are marked in beige on the calendar.
Learning Activities
What is Unity?
Unity is the free, web plug-in that is required to play all the Learning Activities.
I am not sure how to play the game.
Each activity has a Help section that can be viewed at anytime.
Store
How do I purchase a course?
All of the series are located in the blue box to the left. Click on the series and the subject areas for that series will appear in the beige box to the right. Click on a subject area to display the courses. Click on the course, then select Add to Cart. You will see the number of Items in Cart increase. Once you are ready to purchase, click on Continue to Checkout.
Is a credit card required for purchases?
Yes, all purchases will be processed via credit card.
I put an item in my cart, but want to remove it. How is that done?
Click on Continue to Checkout. You will see an invoice of what you are about to purchase. Click the "X" to the left of the item you would like remove from your cart.
Can I get a refund on purchases made?
We are sorry, but there are no refunds available.
How do I purchase a subject area (a collection of courses directly related to each other)?
All of the series are located in the blue box to the left. Click on the series and the courses for that series will appear in the beige box to the right. Click on the course, then select Add to Cart. You will see the number of items in Cart increase. Once you are ready to purchase, click on Continue to Checkout.
How do I purchase all the series?
Simply click on Add All Series to Cart, then select Continue to Checkout.
How do I purchase a series from the store?
